Water Treatment Engineer

About the role

The Water Treatment Engineer will join kridha water’s Nairobi team to design, operate and optimise water and wastewater treatment facilities. Working on‑site, the engineer ensures that water quality, safety and regulatory targets are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Design, operate and optimise water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Monitor plant performance and analyse water‑quality data to adjust treatment parameters.
• Oversee water supply and distribution systems and coordinate pump‑station operations.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to project planning and implementation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve system efficiency, reliability and sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of water‑quality standards, regulatory compliance and health‑and‑safety practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• Proficiency with engineering software and MS Office tools.
• Ability to work on‑site, communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and manage multiple tasks.
