Loans Officer – Banking

About the role

The Loans Officer will maintain and grow a healthy loan portfolio through prudent loan administration, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This on‑site role requires strong customer focus and rigorous credit appraisal skills.

Key responsibilities

• Review loan applications and process loans for disbursement, ensuring full documentation and due diligence.
• Provide customer service support, maintaining strong positive relationships with borrowers.
• Ensure timely collection of all loans in the portfolio.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly collection and portfolio performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a business‑related field.
• At least 3 years experience in an unsecured lending environment (digital credit providers, MFIs, etc.).
• Proven ability in credit appraisal, loan disbursement and debt collection.
• Experience handling high‑volume calls and meeting monthly targets.
• Persuasive with strong communication skills.
• Self‑driven, able to work with minimum supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and goal‑oriented.
• Outgoing and confident personality.
