M-Pesa Attendant

About the role

A client of Gap Recruitment Services is looking for a reliable, customer-focused M-Pesa Attendant to handle daily mobile money transactions at its outlets. The position is based in Nairobi, Naivasha and Narok, is full-time and pays KES 17,500. It calls for a high level of integrity, accuracy and good customer service to keep cash and electronic transactions safe.

Key responsibilities

• Handle M-Pesa transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, bill payments and airtime purchases
• Record all transactions and balances accurately and keep sufficient cash and float on hand
• Balance cash and M-Pesa float daily and report discrepancies immediately
• Serve customers professionally, answer questions about M-Pesa services and resolve or escalate basic complaints
• Follow Safaricom M-Pesa operating procedures and KYC rules, keep customer data confidential and follow security measures against fraud, loss or theft
• Maintain accurate transaction records, prepare end-of-day summaries for the supervisor and file related documents

Required profile

• KCSE minimum grade C minus
• Prior experience as an M-Pesa Attendant or in a similar cash-handling role is an added advantage
• Ability to work long hours, weekends or shifts as required
• High integrity, strong attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision
