Machine Operator – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Westlands. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery to meet daily output targets while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and run production machines according to work orders and technical drawings.
• Produce components that meet dimensional and quality specifications.
• Inspect finished products using tape measures, vernier calipers, and gauges; report any defects.
• Perform routine machine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Handle raw materials and finished goods safely, minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and maintenance staff during shift handovers.
• Adhere to all safety policies, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean work area.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Welding & Fabrication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Production), Sheet Metal Technology, or Metal Processing Technology from a recognized TVET institution.
• NITA Trade Test Grade II or equivalent.
• Entry‑level candidates with up to 12 months of relevant experience.
