Marketing Officer

About the role

The Marketing Officer will lead the foundation’s marketing initiatives, raising awareness of its scholarship programmes among donors, schools and the wider community. Based in Nairobi, the role works full‑time on‑site, collaborating closely with program and fundraising teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop marketing plans and campaigns to promote the foundation’s mission.
• Conduct market research to understand target audiences and education sector trends.
• Manage social media channels, create content and analyse engagement metrics.
• Produce digital and print materials using basic design and content tools.
• Coordinate outreach events and partnership activities with schools and community stakeholders.
• Collaborate with program and fundraising teams to support donor engagement and beneficiary recruitment.
• Monitor campaign performance, prepare regular marketing reports and ensure brand consistency.

Required profile

• Strong marketing and sales experience with a track record of awareness‑building campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to education, youth empowerment and social impact.

Required skills

• Basic design and content creation tools (e.g., graphic or content software).
• Organizational and project‑management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
