About the role
Kabarak University is seeking a qualified Medical Officer to join its health services team in Nakuru County. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, conducting investigations, and ensuring continuity of treatment for admitted patients.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients, order investigations, prescribe appropriate treatment, and follow up admitted cases.
- Refer patients to specialist services when required.
- Provide on‑call medical support during nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with senior medical staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
- Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and hold a valid practising licence.
- Valid ACLS and ATLS (or equivalent) certification.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
Required skills
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- Proficiency in computer applications for clinical documentation.
