MICE Sales Officer

About the role

The MICE Sales Officer provides commercial sales support for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) at Fairmont Mount Kenya. The role manages enquiries, prepares proposals, handles contracting and follows up to ensure successful conversion and hand‑over to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, qualify and respond promptly to MICE enquiries via phone, email and other channels.
• Prepare and issue proposals, quotations and related sales correspondence.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date MICE sales pipeline and tracker.
• Draft contracts and documentation in line with approved rates and commercial terms.
• Communicate regularly with key accounts, corporate clients, agencies, DMCs and PCOs.
• Support senior MICE managers with client meetings, account reviews and sales reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience in hotel sales, MICE, groups, reservations or a comparable commercial function.
• Strong telephone and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines in a fast‑paced luxury environment.
