Operations Manager - Device Financing

About the role

Alinefacility is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the end-to-end operations of its device financing business in Nairobi. The role suits someone with strong experience in mobile phone financing, consumer lending or fintech operations, covering the full customer lifecycle from pre-sales through onboarding, after-sales service, risk management and collections.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full operational lifecycle of the device financing business and develop, implement and improve operational processes and SOPs.
• Monitor KPIs and drive strategies that improve operational efficiency and profitability, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Design SOPs for customer acquisition, onboarding, dealer management and merchant partnerships, and oversee agent, merchant and dealer onboarding, training and performance.
• Set up customer service processes and quality standards, build customer retention and repeat-financing initiatives, and monitor customer satisfaction.
• Work with risk and collections teams to improve repayment performance, analyse portfolio data and support collection strategies that reduce delinquency and increase recoveries.
• Act as the main link between operations and technical teams, define business requirements for system enhancements and support the implementation of device management and financing systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in device financing, handset financing, fintech, digital lending or consumer finance operations.
• Strong understanding of the phone financing lifecycle, including acquisition, onboarding, after-sales support, collections, risk control and device management.
• Experience developing and implementing SOPs and operational frameworks.
• Experience with technical, product and risk teams is highly preferred.
