Partnerships Manager (Africa Program Fundraising)

About the role

Namati is seeking a strategic, relationship‑driven Partnerships Manager to secure funding for its Africa programs, specifically in Kenya and Sierra Leone. The role will embed with local country teams and collaborate closely with Namati’s global Resource Mobilization team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of program‑specific funding opportunities across Africa.
• Identify, cultivate, and engage prospective funders such as embassies, development agency offices, and foundations focused on in‑country civil‑society initiatives.
• Lead the full fundraising lifecycle from prospect research to award negotiation and grant closure.
• Steward awarded relationships to ensure longevity, growth, and alignment with Namati’s mission.
• Report progress and insights to the Senior Advisor and contribute to the broader fundraising strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising or grant development, preferably with a focus on African programs.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with donors, foundations, and government agencies.
• Ability to work closely with local program teams and a global fundraising unit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
