Personnel Development Advisor – Kenya

About the role

DT Global is seeking a Personnel Development Advisor for its Kenya project to screen, coach, and develop personal skills plans for youth and entrepreneurs. The advisor will design life‑skill curricula and training materials covering negotiation, confidence, financial and marketing literacy, livelihood, networking and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate training programmes for project beneficiaries and maintain individual training records.
• Capture and monitor feedback from youth and entrepreneurs to inform future programmes.
• Assist the Program Manager in designing, implementing and evaluating professional and career development programmes, including assessments, mentoring and performance management.
• Develop professional development programmes aligned with identified needs of target beneficiaries.
• Coordinate design, development and evaluation of trainings in line with Kenya’s Standard Operating Procedures.
• Apply adult learning principles, blended learning approaches and innovative learning technologies.
• Review existing curricula and secondary data relevant to the 10‑35 age group and project themes.
• Engage with stakeholders such as beneficiaries, government staff, schools, community members and entrepreneurs through field visits and discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, social work or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience developing training products and materials for youth, gender or vocational/technical skills programmes.
• Proven experience working with or supporting youth and entrepreneurs in education or skills development.
