Personnel Operations Trainee

About the role

KEDA Ceramics International Ltd is looking for two Personnel Operations Trainees to join its HR team in Kisumu. The trainees will receive structured on‑the‑job training across core HR functions, gaining practical experience in contract handling, HRIS maintenance, attendance, leave and personnel file management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process employment contracts, track expiry dates, and assist with renewals and amendments.
• Create, update and maintain employee records in the HRIS, reflecting transfers, promotions and confirmations.
• Monitor attendance, compile reports, verify leave applications and manage leave balances.
• Maintain physical and electronic personnel files, conduct periodic audits and ensure confidentiality.
• Assist in compiling HR reports, maintaining trackers for contracts, probation, attendance and employee movements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous internship, attachment or basic HR experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and HRIS usage.
