Physiotherapy and Rehabilitative Services Manager

About the role

The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitative Services Manager will lead the physiotherapy, occupational therapy and support teams at Mater Misericordiae Hospital. This senior role ensures high‑quality patient care, efficient department operations, and alignment with the hospital’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain standards of patient care across physiotherapy and related services.
• Provide leadership, supervision, mentorship and performance management for physiotherapy, occupational therapy and support staff.
• Develop and implement departmental structures, policies, procedures and systems.
• Collaborate with the Director of Medical Services to prepare realistic budget estimates and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Oversee procurement of equipment, consumables and ensure reliable supply chains.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly statistical reports for the medical records department.
• Represent the institution in professional physiotherapy matters.
• Allocate duties, monitor stock movement and ensure revenue capture and accurate record‑keeping.
• Communicate hospital strategic plans, policies and procedures to staff and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (Master’s degree desirable).
• Registered and licensed by the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.
• Minimum five years of experience in a team‑leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
• Proven ability to develop departmental policies, manage budgets and lead multidisciplinary teams.
