Pre-Sales ICT Engineer

About the role

The Pre‑Sales ICT Engineer will act as the technical champion for the sales team, translating customer requirements into robust, cost‑effective ICT and ELV solutions. You will work closely with clients, partners and internal teams to design, propose and support winning projects across networking, security, automation, and audiovisual domains.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs, RFQs and tender documents and design end‑to‑end integrated ICT/ELV solutions that meet technical, operational and budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with the sales team to qualify opportunities, run technical workshops, product demos and Proof‑of‑Concepts.
• Prepare high‑quality proposals, system architectures, heat maps, Bill of Materials, cost estimates and response documents.
• Present solutions to C‑level executives, technical teams and end‑users, building strong relationships with clients and vendors such as Cisco, Ruckus, Huawei, HPE, Dell, Hikvision, Grandstream, Mitel and Pelco.
• Stay up‑to‑date on emerging ICT, ELV, IoT and cybersecurity technologies and advise on product and vendor selection.
• Coordinate hand‑over to post‑sales and project delivery teams, supporting bid reviews and risk assessments.
• Contribute to knowledge‑sharing, solution templates and continuous improvement of the pre‑sales process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in pre‑sales, solutions engineering or technical sales support within ICT systems integration, ELV or AV.
• Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Ruckus, AVIXA CTS) are preferred.
• Project management knowledge (PMP or PRINCE2) is a plus.

Required skills

• Enterprise networking and IP‑based security systems.
• IP telephony, ELV infrastructure, automation/IoT and AV/infotainment solutions.
• Solution design tools such as AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office suite – especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with major vendors: Cisco, Ruckus, Huawei, HPE, Dell, Hikvision, Grandstream, Mitel, Pelco.
