Program Assistant – Nairobi

About the role

The Program Assistant will be based in Nairobi and will support the REACTS‑IN programme, ensuring efficient administrative and programme delivery in line with Nutrition International policies. The role involves coordinating grants, budgets and logistics to help the team meet its objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist program officers in reviewing project proposals and advising prior to contracting.
• Support the REACTS‑IN team with budget tracking, milestones and reporting to ensure obligations are met.
• Arrange travel logistics for technical advisors, consultants and workshop participants, including visas and itineraries.
• Draft grant and consultancy agreements, prepare contract approval sheets and obtain necessary approvals.
• Manage program budgets, projections and financial milestones in the contracts database and coordinate fund transfers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of office experience and at least 3 years in program management.
• Experience with office operations, Microsoft Office suite and database handling.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience working with databases for budget and contract tracking.
