Project Manager – ALIGN Adolescent Health & Nutrition

About the role

The ALIGN initiative, funded by the Global Financing Facility and administered by the World Bank, seeks a Project Manager to lead the implementation of adolescent health and nutrition innovations across up to 12 African countries. Reporting to the Lead Agency (Action Against Hunger) and the Consortium Steering Committee, you will work in a hybrid/online mode to support civil society and youth‑led organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of two core components: capacity strengthening for CSOs/YLOs and sub‑grant management for scaling innovations.
• Coordinate technical support packages, including baseline assessments, mentorship, policy dialogue facilitation, and establishment of youth engagement mechanisms.
• Manage the Cross‑Country Community of Practice, fostering peer learning, stakeholder convenings, and knowledge dissemination.
• Monitor and report on project progress, financials, and compliance to the Lead Agency and consortium partners.
• Facilitate communication between consortium members (The Youth Café, ENN) and national stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in public health, nutrition, international development, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multi‑country development projects, preferably in health or nutrition.
• Proven experience working with civil society organisations and youth‑led groups.
• Strong understanding of adolescent health and nutrition systems in low‑resource settings.
