About the role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance & Testing Officer to join our technology team at Family Bank Kenya. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of banking software through rigorous testing and quality processes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and review detailed test cases based on functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests, log defects, track their resolution and produce status reports.
- Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing test environments, guiding testers and compiling sign‑off documentation.
- Perform regression testing, participate in release assessments and contribute to automation initiatives.
- Maintain testing documentation and continuously improve testing processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
- ISTQB certification preferred; ITIL certification advantageous.
- 2‑3 years of experience in software testing, preferably within a banking environment.
- Proven experience in test case development, defect management and regression testing.
