Quality Control Analyst – Construction (Nairobi)

About the role

The Quality Control Analyst will support quality control activities in a construction environment, ensuring that materials and processes meet required standards for safety, durability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and test construction materials such as concrete, cement, steel and other raw materials through laboratory and field testing.
• Monitor production processes and enforce quality control procedures to maintain compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Review engineering drawings, project plans and specifications to establish quality benchmarks.
• Document and analyse test results, inspection findings, deviations and non‑conformities, and prepare detailed QC reports.
• Identify defects, investigate root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, production teams and project managers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain QC testing equipment, ensure proper calibration, functionality and record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Recent experience in quality control, preferably within manufacturing or construction.
• Hands‑on experience testing concrete, cement, steel and other construction materials.
• Knowledge of QC procedures, civil engineering standards, safety regulations and laboratory testing practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with CAD and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience with ERP or quality management systems.
• Competence in operating and calibrating QC testing equipment.
