About the role
We are looking for an experienced Rigger Supervisor to lead our telecom rigging team in installing, maintaining and optimizing network equipment. The role involves hands‑on field work, coordinating with the NOC and ensuring projects are delivered safely and on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of telecom riggers during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Plan, assign, and monitor daily field tasks to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Install and align directional antennas with precise azimuth, tilt, and height for optimal signal coverage.
- Ensure proper installation of radios, antennas, mounts, cabling, and related hardware.
- Guide the team in the correct handling of compasses, alignment devices, GPS tools, and RF testing equipment.
- Conduct site surveys and provide accurate technical assessments prior to installation.
- Monitor signal quality metrics (RSSI, SNR, throughput) and perform optimization as needed.
- Enforce strict health and safety compliance, including working at heights and proper use of PPE.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to improve technical skills, safety awareness, and productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as installation reports, site checklists, and incident reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues related to connectivity, alignment, or equipment faults.
Required profile
- Physically fit and capable of frequent tower climbing, heavy lifting, and working in challenging outdoor environments.
- Minimum 60 months (5 years) of relevant telecom rigging experience.
- Mid‑level professional with proven supervisory experience.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
