Remote Support Network Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Support Network Technician to monitor, support and maintain network systems for our clients across Kenya. The role involves diagnosing and resolving LAN, WAN and wireless issues remotely, ensuring stable connectivity and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support network systems remotely to ensure stable and reliable connectivity.
• Configure, manage and maintain routers, switches and other network devices using remote access tools.
• Diagnose and resolve LAN, WAN and wireless network issues remotely.
• Provide remote technical support to users and field teams for network‑related incidents.
• Respond to service requests and restore network services within agreed timelines.
• Perform routine system checks and preventive maintenance using monitoring tools.
• Analyze network alerts and logs to proactively identify and resolve potential faults.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or relevant teams.
• Document all support activities, incidents and resolutions in service management systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards and SLAs.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in network support or IT support.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as LAN/WAN and TCP/IP.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills for remote support and coordination.
• CCNA or Network+ certification is an advantage.
