Sales Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to join our retail team in Nairobi’s Westlands district. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them find products, answer queries and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, offer assistance and answer product‑related questions.
• Process sales transactions using cash registers or point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Restock shelves, maintain visual merchandising standards and assist with inventory counts.
• Handle customer complaints calmly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate price labeling and ensure pricing is up‑to‑date.
• Keep the store clean, tidy and organized.
• Participate in in‑store marketing events and promotions.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of the product range to recommend items.

Required profile

• Minimum High School KCSE Certificate.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and exceptional customer‑service attitude.

Required skills

• Operation of cash registers or point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
