Business Development Manager – Performance

About the role

VALD is seeking a Business Development Manager to own a defined territory and drive field sales of its human‑measurement technology. The role combines consultative selling, product demonstrations, and relationship building across performance and health verticals, with extensive regional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage a defined sales territory across performance and health sectors.
• Self‑generate a sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound marketing leads.
• Conduct in‑person and virtual product demonstrations and oversee client trials.
• Work full‑cycle sales opportunities in partnership with Contracts and Client Success teams.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly quota targets based on systems sold.
• Accurately manage pipeline activity using CRM tools.
• Represent VALD professionally at conferences, events, and industry meetings.

Required profile

• Background in sport performance, strength & conditioning, exercise science or a related field.
• 2+ years of field experience (new graduates welcome).
• Strong communication skills across in‑person, virtual and written formats.
• Comfort with cold prospecting and engaging professionals at all levels.
• Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft 365 tools.
