Sales Trainee – Entry Level Position

About the role

We are looking for dynamic, ambitious, self‑driven graduates to join our sales team at East African Cables. The position offers structured on‑the‑job training, product knowledge, and mentorship, providing a clear pathway to a career in sales and marketing within a leading engineering and manufacturing company.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training programme under the Regional Sales Manager and maintain records of competencies acquired.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of the company’s cable products, applications, features and benefits.
• Assist in customer visits, sales calls, market surveys and support the follow‑up of enquiries, quotations and orders.
• Identify new customers and market opportunities, and support distributors and stockists.
• Prepare and submit reports, shadow experienced sales personnel and contribute to sales and marketing events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous internship, industrial attachment or up to one year of relevant experience is an advantage; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
