Sales Representative – Credit (Merchant & Credit)

About the role

Pesapal is looking for a driven Sales Representative to convert existing payment merchants into active Pesapal Credit clients. This six‑month contract role focuses on proactive merchant engagement, education on credit solutions, and guiding them through the onboarding process until a credit limit is assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Contact existing Pesapal merchants via phone, WhatsApp, email, and field visits to promote credit adoption.
• Identify eligible merchants, obtain opt‑in consent, and assist them in completing credit applications.
• Follow up throughout the application journey to ensure timely approval and activation.
• Collect and verify all required documentation in line with credit policies.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of interactions, application status, and follow‑up activities.
• Achieve monthly targets for credit applications, approvals, and activations.
• Collaborate with Credit, Operations, and Customer Success teams to resolve onboarding challenges.
• Gather merchant feedback and share insights to improve credit uptake.
