SAP Cloud Integration (CI) DevOps Engineer

About the role

Deloitte's Technology & Transformation business unit (Engineering, AI & Data) is hiring an SAP Cloud Integration (CI) DevOps Engineer for its Nairobi office. The role joins the integration team to operate, maintain and improve SAP CI solutions that connect SAP S/4HANA with other business applications. About 70% of the work is operations and 30% development, taking day-to-day technical ownership of integrations after project handover.

Key responsibilities

• Take over approved SAP CI solutions after handover and own them throughout their lifecycle
• Monitor flows and message processing, analyse and resolve standard incidents, and diagnose issues across SAP CI and connected applications
• Fix defects, implement change requests and smaller enhancements, and deploy corrections via release and transport processes
• Develop and modify integration flows, configure integrations, and create or adjust XML/JSON transformations and XPath expressions
• Manage certificates, credentials and configurations, and handle standard incident cases independently
• Maintain technical and operational documentation and share SAP CI knowledge through documentation and pairing
• Promote integration artefacts across Development, QA and Production using SAP Cloud Transport Management (cTMS)
• Work in the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), monitor platform health and runtime metrics, and support secure encrypted channels with SAP Cloud Connector

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on SAP (Cloud) Integration experience
• Proven SAP CI development and production support experience, including incident analysis and defect resolution
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integrations and with taking over solutions after project handover
• Experience in formal incident-management and change-management processes
• Confident written and verbal English

Required skills

• SAP CI development, including XML/JSON transformations and XPath
• Knowledge of Java, REST/SOAP, API, ETL and ESB
• Managing releases and transports, certificates and credentials
• SAP certifications for Cloud Integration or Integration Suite are an added advantage
