Secretary / Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

The Secretary/Chief Executive Officer leads the secretariat, acts as the Accounting Officer and ensures the implementation of the Teachers Service Commission’s policies, decisions and strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Head of the secretariat and Accounting Officer of the Commission.
• Custodian of all Commission records and executor of Commission decisions.
• Assign and supervise staff duties, coordinate activities and ensure compliance with public ethics and values.
• Apply Part IV of the TSC Act diligently and perform any other duties assigned by the Commission.

Required profile

• Kenyan citizen with a degree in education from a recognized university.
• At least ten years of experience in education, administration, management, public administration, human resources or financial management.
• Meets Chapter Six requirements of the Constitution.

What we offer

• Gross salary of KES 698,600 per month.
• Airtime allowance of KES 15,000 per month and annual leave allowance of KES 50,000.

• Car loan up to KES 6 million and mortgage loan up to KES 30 million at 3 % interest, security provisions and daily subsistence allowance for travel.
