Senior Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

Jobberman is looking for an experienced finance professional to join its Nairobi office as a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance (KE), the role will oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, manage risk and compliance, and support budgeting, forecasting and statutory audits.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure finance operations comply with company policies, support internal and external audits, and meet national tax and statutory filing requirements.
• Conduct monthly budget‑versus‑expenditure reviews, prepare performance reports with analysis, and communicate financial trends across departments.
• Supervise daily cash management, coordinate departmental cash needs, prepare cash‑flow requirement reports and manage payment schedules and petty cash.
• Partner with function and region leads to build budgets, forecast financial trends, monitor major project spending and produce yearly forecasts with commentary.
• Support statutory audits, prepare accurate project financial reports for donors, manage debt collection, and oversee monthly tax filings (VAT, withholding tax) and fixed‑asset registers.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Highly organized, results‑oriented, quick in execution, detail‑oriented with strong communication and analytical capabilities.
