Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services – Radiologist

About the role

The Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking a senior professional to lead radiology services as the Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services – Radiologist. This permanent, pensionable position will be based on‑site in Makueni and will support the Board’s vision of a high‑performing public service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all radiology and medical imaging activities within the county.
• Develop, implement and monitor policies, standards and quality assurance procedures for radiology services.
• Coordinate with other health departments, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) from a council‑recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology, Health Informatics or an equivalent qualification.
• Registration and a valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• Certificate in a Strategic Leadership Development Programme (minimum six weeks) from a recognized institution.
• Mandatory professional experience in a medical or radiology setting.
