Senior Eye Make‑Up Product Developer (Advisory)

About the role

Cellmetics Beauty is seeking a senior eye make‑up product developer to join the team in an advisory capacity. You will shape the eye‑category portfolio for a pro‑age brand targeting consumers aged 50+ and guide products from concept through launch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical advisory across mascara, eyeliner, brow products and related innovations.
• Guide formulation strategy, ingredient selection, performance targets and commercial trade‑offs.
• Design and oversee validation programmes including wear testing, ophthalmologist testing, consumer panels, stability studies and PET.
• Evaluate manufacturers’ proposals, support sourcing of contract manufacturers and raw‑material suppliers.
• Stay current on EU cosmetic regulations, ingredient developments, claim substantiation and clean‑beauty trends.

Required profile

• Extensive experience developing and launching colour cosmetic products.
• Proven ability to influence product and technical decisions with founders and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of the 50+ consumer segment and pro‑age market dynamics.

Required skills

• Formulation strategy and ingredient selection for eye‑make‑up.
• Product validation methods: wear testing, ophthalmologist testing, stability studies.
• Regulatory knowledge of EU cosmetics legislation.
• Supplier and contract‑manufacturer evaluation.
