Senior People Partner – Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role

As Sr. People Partner for Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya, you'll own the HR 360 partnership across four of Glovo's fastest‑growing African markets, driving talent density, retention and performance across teams led by four Operations Managers. Over the next 12‑18 months, the mission is to build proactive, data‑driven talent strategies that directly move the business, while embedding Glovo's high‑performance culture across a fast‑scaling, multicultural region.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with GMs and local management teams across Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya to align people strategy with business priorities.
• Manage and support four Operations Managers.
• Own full HR 360 processes end‑to‑end, working independently while staying aligned with global HR CoEs.
• Use workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and recommend business‑aligned solutions.
• Influence and, when needed, challenge HR CoE‑designed solutions (Rewards, L&D, Talent Management) to fit local business needs.
• Drive talent density and retention of key talent, partnering with leaders on performance management for both top and low performers.
• Lead organizational design and reorg processes, balancing business outcomes with employee experience.
• Ensure compliance with local labor law and work inspection requirements across all four markets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, including at least 4 years in full HR Generalist roles.
• Fluency in English; French for the Ivory Coast market.
• Hands‑on experience with HR Tech (HRIS, ATS) and reporting HR metrics.
• Openness to travel regularly across Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya.
• Nice to have: people management experience, labor‑law knowledge across West/East Africa, and experience in a multinational environment with structured processes and reporting.
