Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading global financial services firm and help modernize its core financial platform. The position is fully remote and focuses on building scalable, real‑time transaction processing systems for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services that handle high‑volume financial transactions.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and enforce best‑practice engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java, Python or Go for backend development.
• Experience with financial transaction systems or payment processing.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases for financial data storage.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.
