Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in financial services. The role focuses on building and maintaining core financial platforms that handle real‑time transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security measures to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and ensure reliability through testing and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and maintain system stability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with backend development in Java, Python or Go.
• Background in financial transaction systems, payment processing or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
