Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading global financial services firm. The position is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining core financial platforms that handle real‑time transactions for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for high‑volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with backend development using Java, Python or Go.
• Background in financial transaction systems, payment processing or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Required skills

• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Unit and integration testing for code reliability and performance.
• Security best practices and knowledge of financial compliance requirements.
