Solutions Architect

About the role

Family Bank Kenya is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and oversee end‑to‑end technology solutions that support its banking operations. The role involves translating business needs into robust architectural designs while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document comprehensive solution architectures and produce design artifacts.
• Evaluate alternative approaches and secure review and approval for proposed designs.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and guide development teams throughout implementation.
• Incorporate security, compliance, and technology change assessments into all solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in IT or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, cloud, or ITIL (advantageous).
• 3‑5 years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, or software development, preferably within the banking sector.
• Proven experience with integration projects, API architecture, and cloud environments.
• Strong background in creating architecture documentation.
