System Integration Officer

About the role

Family Bank Kenya is looking for a System Integration Officer to design, develop and maintain integration solutions that connect internal and external systems. The role focuses on delivering robust ESB, API and micro‑service based architectures that support the bank’s digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement integration solutions using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), APIs and micro‑services while adhering to banking standards.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot incidents and carry out regular maintenance activities.
• Conduct functional and integration testing, resolve defects and verify successful deployments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and ensure security controls are applied.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery planning and support business continuity initiatives.
• Stay informed on emerging integration technologies and contribute to automation and continuous‑improvement efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in system integration, API development or middleware, preferably within the banking sector.
• Relevant certifications such as MuleSoft or ITIL are a plus.

Required skills

• Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms.
• REST and SOAP API design and development.
• Micro‑services architecture.
• Middleware platforms and integration testing tools.
• Knowledge of MuleSoft, ITIL or similar integration frameworks.
