Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

ShareShare is building a marketplace for bandwidth and needs a senior Platform Engineer to scale its modern, cloud‑native infrastructure. You will own the systems that keep carriers, ISPs, and enterprise buyers transacting without interruption.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and scale production Kubernetes clusters across multiple regions.
• Manage cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform, including networking, IAM, cost and capacity planning.
• Maintain container and virtualization environments (Docker, VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V).
• Develop and manage production APIs and DevOps pipelines.
• Lead incident prevention, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive best‑practice decisions.
• Collaborate closely with systems, network, and software engineering teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years of systems/infrastructure engineering experience with ownership of large‑scale platforms.
• Leadership mindset: proactive, outcome‑focused, and able to influence technical direction.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes and production API design.
• Strong experience with GCP (networking, IAM, multi‑region architecture).
• Hands‑on knowledge of containers and virtualization technologies.
• Comfortable using AI‑enhanced tools in daily workflows.
