About the role
Kenya Airways is seeking a Technical Resource Planner to ensure optimal staff utilisation for maintenance and operational activities. The role involves forecasting medium‑ and long‑term staffing needs, coordinating leave and training, and maintaining compliance with aviation regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Plan medium‑ and long‑term availability of production staff in collaboration with Technical Managers.
- Coordinate leave plans with sectional managers to meet company policies.
- Organise training programmes and ensure mandatory qualifications are met.
- Publish 28‑day rosters a week before each cycle.
- Identify resourcing gaps and propose mitigation actions.
- Prepare and analyse performance reports on training, leave and productivity.
- Develop and implement resource deployment rules in the resource management system.
- Apply mathematical modelling and statistical analysis to evaluate “what‑if” scenarios.
Required profile
- University degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- At least five years of experience in airline operational areas.
- Experience in resource management or scheduling is an advantage.
- Knowledge of KCAA/EASA regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
