Technical Sector Officer – Education (AIM)

About the role

The Technical Sector Officer (Education) will support the AIM Regional Manager in planning, implementing and ensuring quality delivery of the Mastercard Foundation Accelerating Impact for Young Women (AIM) education pathway across Kisii and Kakamega.

Key responsibilities

• Support inception activities, community mobilisation and coordination with local education officials.
• Develop, review and adapt teachers’ guides, curriculum content and training manuals to the Kenyan context.
• Facilitate gender‑responsive training for teachers, school leadership, peer mentors and programme assistants.
• Assist in securing Memoranda of Understanding with ministries, districts and schools and identify Teacher Champions.
• Coordinate with school administrations, PTAs and alternative education providers to enrol eligible participants.
• Contribute to monitoring frameworks, reporting to government education officials and documenting best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and reviewing education curriculum and teacher training materials.
• Strong facilitation and training skills for teachers, school leadership and programme staff.
• Excellent coordination and negotiation abilities with government, school and community stakeholders.
