Corporate Governance Workshop Expert

About the role

The client is seeking a Corporate Governance Workshop Expert to design and facilitate practical workshops for businesses in East Africa. The engagement will help participants understand governance measures that strengthen investment readiness and bankability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver one or more half‑day or full‑day workshops that translate corporate‑governance foundations into actionable guidance for owner‑led or family businesses.
• Tailor workshop content, examples and facilitation approach to the specific country, audience and delivery format.
• Coordinate with the client and any local delivery partner to define scope, participant needs, materials and facilitation responsibilities.
• Provide post‑workshop materials or agreed follow‑up outputs as defined with the client.

Required profile

• Proven advisory, training or facilitation experience in corporate governance for private businesses, SMEs or family enterprises.
• Track record designing and delivering practical workshops or executive learning sessions for business leaders.
• Experience applying governance principles in an East African (or comparable African) market context.
• Strong ability to connect governance practice to investor, lender and owner concerns without relying on abstract compliance content.
