Territory Manager – Nairobi South

About the role

Telkom Kenya Limited is seeking a Territory Manager for the Nairobi South region. The role will implement and drive the sales strategy for Telkom’s products and services across resellers, distributors, agents and merchants. The manager will be responsible for achieving revenue and profitability targets within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales (revenue) targets of the region – both Mobile & MFS.
• Achieve customer base targets via acquisition drives and supporting HQ‑led trade marketing and brand activities.
• Drive channel‑specific agenda in line with company targets – ASOs, SSOs, T‑kash agents.
• Achieve site profitability targets within the region through site‑based activities and programs.
• Prepare and implement the infrastructure blueprint for the region to ensure full market coverage.
• Manage channel partner relationships to ensure sustainable business practices and profitability (ROI).
• Oversee and drive the people capability agenda across all levels – Telkom staff, third‑party staff and partner staff.
• Ensure customer expectations regarding service standards and product knowledge are met in both Telkom stores and partner stores.
• Monitor competition activities and prepare counter‑action plans.
• Build interfaces and relationships with Finance, Logistics and Marketing to drive the overall Telkom agenda in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Relevant professional sales management certification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a regional senior management role in sales and distribution.
• Strong customer focus, influencing and negotiation abilities, and networking skills.
