Underwriting Credit Analyst (French Speaking)

About the role

The Underwriting Credit Analyst will own credit risk analysis for Citi's corporate clients in Sub‑Saharan Africa. You will produce annual and quarterly reviews, support ad‑hoc transactions and continuously monitor the portfolio to ensure credit quality aligns with Citi's risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the credit and financial strength of corporate clients using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Prepare detailed credit analysis memos, assign internal ratings, and document findings.
• Produce annual and quarterly portfolio reviews and assist with ad‑hoc transaction reviews.
• Continuously monitor the portfolio, track industry trends, and escalate potential credit issues to senior underwriters and risk partners.
• Collaborate with regional banking and independent risk teams to implement credit assessment and monitoring standards.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience in banking, credit risk management or a related financial services role.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate liquidity, leverage and other key financial metrics.
• Ability to understand and apply Citi policies and procedures.
• BA/BSc or higher in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
