US Freight Sales Associate (Outbound Account Executive)

About the role

We are looking for an aggressive, results‑driven US Freight Sales Associate based in Nairobi to generate outbound revenue across North American freight lanes. The role involves cold‑calling US shippers, negotiating rates and closing new freight accounts while working the 3 PM‑11 PM EAT shift.

Key responsibilities

• Make 50+ cold calls and multi‑channel outreach daily to US‑based shippers, manufacturers and distributors.
• Price freight lanes dynamically using market spot rates (DAT/Truckstop) and negotiate profitable quotes.
• Manage client relationships, secure recurring loads, resolve service issues and upsell additional freight modes.
• Coordinate with dispatch and carrier sales teams to ensure efficient freight coverage and target margins.
• Maintain accurate sales activity records, quotes and pipeline stages in the CRM.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of outbound B2B sales experience, preferably in US freight brokerage, 3PL or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of US geography, major freight lanes and spot‑market dynamics.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding monthly gross‑margin targets.
• Native‑level English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Full commitment to the 3 PM‑11 PM EAT shift.
