Waiter/Waitress – Hotel Dining Service

About the role

Join the MGallery Nairobi Gigiri team as a Waiter/Waitress and deliver exceptional food and beverage service to a diverse clientele, including UN delegates, diplomats, and leisure guests. You will work in a dynamic, upscale environment across multiple dining venues, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable grooming standards and professional appearance at all times.
• Present menus proactively, take orders, and serve food and drinks in an unobtrusive, courteous manner.
• Keep service stations clean, stocked, and ready throughout service periods.
• Follow opening and closing checklists to guarantee smooth venue operations.
• Monitor daily financial, LQA and TrustYou targets and report results.
• Update guest preferences, manage feedback via the Glitch Report system, and anticipate guest needs.
• Adhere to HACCP and FIFO standards, and follow hotel evacuation procedures when required.
• Participate in briefings, training sessions, and any special projects assigned by management.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience as a waiter in a hotel, restaurant, or fine‑dining setting.
• Professional, well‑groomed appearance with strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and ability to start immediately.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP and FIFO food‑safety standards.
