Tour Consultant Intern

About the role

Bobu Africa, an innovative nature, travel and lifestyle brand, is looking for a motivated Tour Consultant Intern to support its Nairobi operations. This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about travel, customer service, and creating memorable African experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Process and confirm reservations for flights, hotels, and activities.
• Liaise with hotels, airlines, and service providers to ensure availability and smooth delivery.
• Issue hotel vouchers, itineraries, quotations, invoices, and booking confirmations.
• Assist the sales team in creating client‑specific itineraries.
• Handle booking changes, cancellations, special requests, and emergency support.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to align bookings with company processes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date digital and physical reservation files.
• Monitor service standards, gather feedback, and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
• 0‑1 years of experience in reservations or tour operations (fresh graduates encouraged).
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail, multitasking skills, and a customer‑first mindset.
• Knowledge of East Africa destinations is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with booking systems.
