About the role

The Warehouse Assistant will support the Warehouse Manager in handling receipt, delivery, and inventory control of project commodities for malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS services in Busia and Siaya counties. This entry‑level position involves ensuring accurate records, proper storage, and safe handling of items.

Key responsibilities

Assist in daily warehouse operations, maintaining inventory records and optimal stock levels.
Inspect and verify received commodities for quality and quantity.
Update stock cards, ledger books, delivery notes and GRNs promptly.
Coordinate supply requests from field sites and obtain approvals.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and FIFO rotation to prevent expiry.
Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Required profile

Diploma in purchasing, supplies management or a related field.
At least 6 months experience as a storekeeper or store assistant (desired).
Certificate of good conduct may be required.
Physically fit, able to stand long hours and lift items.

Required skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with procurement software.
