3D World Building, Character Development & Gameplay Developer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate 3D World Builder who will shape an interactive digital map of Nairobi, creating immersive environments, characters, and gameplay systems. This equity‑based position offers co‑ownership of the intellectual property and participation in future revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Model and optimize a detailed 3D representation of Nairobi using Blender and Blosm workflows.
• Design, sculpt, texture, rig, and animate original character assets for Unity.
• Develop core gameplay mechanics, player movement, interaction, progression, and event systems within Unity.
• Integrate assets from Blender into Unity, ensuring performance‑optimized pipelines and proper version control.
• Collaborate with developers, product leads, and other specialists to iterate on game loops and immersive user experiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Blender for 3D modeling and asset creation.
• Hands‑on experience developing projects in Unity.
• Understanding of character creation workflows, including rigging and animation pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant 3D, Unity, or character work.
