About the role
The Accelerated Disease Control Partnerships Consultant will provide senior technical expertise and strategic leadership for the CDC‑UNICEF cooperative agreement. Working remotely from Nairobi with occasional travel, the consultant will ensure alignment with UNICEF’s global immunisation strategy and drive high‑level engagement with CDC and other partners.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the coordination between CDC, UNICEF technical teams and global partners.
- Provide strategic direction for programme monitoring, donor engagement and financial oversight.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on partnership outcomes.
- Align activities with UNICEF’s global immunisation strategy and public‑health priorities.
- Facilitate high‑level communication and decision‑making across stakeholders.
Required profile
- Senior‑level professional with at least 8 years of experience in immunisation or public‑health programmes.
- Proven experience managing large‑scale partnerships or cooperative agreements.
- Strong understanding of disease control, outbreak preparedness and health‑system strengthening.
- Ability to work independently, travel as required, and deliver results in a remote setting.
