Accountant – Financial Management & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure statutory compliance and support cost and inventory control for our manufacturing and retail outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full KRA compliance, including timely filing of VAT, Withholding Tax and eTIMS invoices.
• Reconcile bank accounts, M‑PESA statements and cash collections against daily sales reports.
• Manage statutory payments such as PAYE, NSSF and NHIF for all staff.
• Calculate cost of goods sold, conduct inventory audits and reconcile physical stock with the ERP system.
• Analyse costs and margins to advise on product pricing for wholesale and retail channels.
• Optimize ERP usage, prepare monthly management reports and key performance indicators.
• Assist the owner in budgeting, track performance and ensure segregation of duties to prevent cash leakage.

Required profile

• Mid‑level accounting experience (minimum 3 years).
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and statutory reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and inventory cost accounting.
• Ability to prepare clear financial statements, cash flow reports and KPI dashboards.
