About the role

The Kenya Medical Training College is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage its financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and support effective budgeting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Implement financial regulations, policies, strategies, and plans.
• Maintain books of account, financial records, and internal financial controls.
• Prepare and submit financial reports and statements to relevant institutions.
• Manage budgetary and cost controls, including preparation of payment vouchers.
• Participate in the collation of financial estimates and determination of aggregate expenditure.
• Maintain records related to government grants, donor funds, statutory deductions, and remittances.
• Prepare management and statutory reports, including final accounts.
• Oversee petty cash and support revenue collection processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Finance, Economics, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance), Business Management (Accounting/Finance) or equivalent.
• Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
