Accountant - Logistics Industry

About the role

A staffing agency is hiring, through its client, a highly motivated and experienced Accountant for a logistics company based in Nairobi. The role covers keeping accurate financial records, preparing management reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and supporting the organisation's financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements.
• Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• CPA(K) qualification or an equivalent professional certification.
• At least two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, with integrity and attention to detail.
