Accountant – Property Development

About the role

Our client, a leading property development company, is looking for an Accountant to oversee all financial transactions related to development projects. You will be responsible for budgeting, reporting, tax compliance and ensuring the accuracy of the company’s financial position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting transactions, including payments and receipts.
• Prepare budget forecasts and monitor actual performance against them.
• Publish timely financial statements and manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and perform bank statement reconciliations.
• Compute taxes, prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Maintain balance sheets, profit & loss statements and cash‑flow reports.
• Audit financial documents and reinforce data confidentiality.
• Back‑up financial databases and support policy compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an accountant (mid‑level).
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Additional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including IFS.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with FreshBooks.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• General ledger functions.
